The Florida Park Service Ranger Association, in collaboration with the Florida Park Service, invites current and former FPS staff, families, and guests to a special weekend of fun, fellowship, and celebration of the incredible people who make the Florida Park Service the best in the nation.

This private event is not open to the general public and is designed to be an affordable, relaxing getaway for FPS employees and their families—past and present.

Registration is free this year! Please register so we have a head count.

Food & Fellowship

Friday, Nov 7

  • 3:00 pm FPSRA Board Meeting 
  • 5:30 PM – “Pot Luck” Dinner. Bring a favorite dish to share.
  • 7:00 PM – Live Music Jam hosted by Friends of Tomoka at the Visitor Program Building. Enjoy a night of music, community, and camaraderie!

Saturday, Nov 8

  • Breakfast & Lunch: On your own.
  • Dinner: Catered BBQ by Pump House at the Visitor Program Building. Bring a dessert to share—sweet treats are always welcome!

Sunday, Nov 9

  • 6:00–9:00 AM – “Camper Coffee” with Friends of Tomoka Basin State Park.

Activities for All Ages

Saturday Highlights:

  • 10:30 AM – “The Story of Tomoka” – Park Service Specialist David Jones shares the park’s 5,000-year history, from Native American settlements to the Timucuan village of Nocoroco. Meet near the Legend of Tomokie statue.
  • 1:00–2:00 PM – Fish Painting – Learn about Redfish, Snook, and other game fish before trying your hand at creative fish painting! Hosted by Friends of Tomoka Basin State Park at the Visitor Program Building.

Ongoing Fun:

  • Fishing (Bait available at the Outpost)
  • Canoe/Kayak Rentals & Souvenirs at Tomoka Outpost
  • Scenic bike trails & paved roads—bring your bike!
  • Local explorations: Fairchild Oak, Bulow Plantation, Flagler Beach, Dummit Sugar Mill, and more!

Camping

To reserve a campsite, please contact Sandy Cook for your site assignment. Sandy will direct you to the park for payment.
